Dice Porn - my funky new set

Maybe these are old hat to you, but I've never seen them before. I accidentally stumbled across these dice the other day and had to have them. They are by an American company called Crystal Caste and the dice are called "Oblivion" crystal dice. The Ebay seller I got them from here in Australia was kind enough to allow the customer to select the colour and so I went with Orange Oblivion, as pictured above.

The picture below shows the various different colours that Oblivion dice come in. Obviously they roll very differently to normal dice. I'm looking forward to giving them a spin on Sunday.

  1. I have some of these as well... my oblivion d20 has what I call "d100" syndrome sometimes, where it doesn't like to sit on a number.

Also these are nice for players with practiced ears since they can't recognize the sound of the roll to know what die I just rolled!

  2. I really like the look of these dice but like Mr. Blue I found the high-value dice didn't settle so well when rolled.

No matter, they look great and are always nice to add to the collection.

  3. I agree with you both from my short experience with them. I've found that with the d20 in particular the surface has to be completely flat and even then you need to look at it in the right light to see which number is uppermost.

Mr. Blue, I love your reason for rolling them behind the DM screen. :-)
