I couldn't be more chuffed, the public playtest for 5e D&D is out and amongst the files is a sample dungeon - The Caves of Chaos - from the old TSR module B2 Keep on the Borderlands, which happens to be the first module I ever owned. It's great to see the original map in the back of the document and as I quickly flicked through it (it's now 1.30 am and I'm off to bed) I was encouraged to see that monster stats were indeed old school one-liners as had been reported.
I'll have a better look tomorrow. And of course it's pointed out that this is just one of probably many playtest documents and that the end result, after much feedback from us gamers, may be very different than this one. So in other words if you see something you hate, it might not be in the finished game. I still remain hopeful that WotC will get this right.

So far it looks very promising. There are a few things that would be issues for me, but there's a lot of good things too.
